Some Spring Blooms

Here's a few woodland Wildflowers I have blooming now.
Violets in an array of colors. I need to do some research to find which kinds they are. I love the magenta one which I actually bought years ago.
White Shooting Stars
Red Trillium or Toadshade
Wild Geranium or Cranesbill with a hosta

Sorry the pictures aren't great but the mosquitoes are viscous this year like never before.

  1. The bottom one is the Confederate violet, Viola sororia priceana. I think the hangy-down one (that's a botanical term!) is a dodecathon but I'm not sure. I don't know the purple ones, though- all purple violas look alike to me!

  3. Thanks Laurie for the violet info. Hi G and Stacy. Oh I'm not sure what to do about the mosquitoes but wear deep woods off! :)
