Sassy Sassafras

If you were a tree what kind of tree would you be?
I'd be a Sassafras. The Sassafras is an aromatic delight to the senses! The leaves, roots and branches have a wonderful and sweet aroma when crushed. The roots were once used as the original source of root beer. The leaves come in three shapes: footballs, mittens and ghosts. Everything about this tree screams Fall! It's a little early for leaves here to be changing but they are!

  1. Yours is a very good choice indeed! I am completely taken with the idea that its leaves come in shapes of Casper and his friends! Oh, how this blog entry conjures up the good thoughts! As for me... as for me... If I were to be a tree, Hickory Nut would be it for me!

  4. I'd totally be a Sassafrass too as that is a term of endearment we Southerners use to greet one another! Love it!

  5. The cottonwoods along my driveway are already turning yellow... a little too early, but certainly beautiful! I'd be a maple.

  6. I would be a Mimosa Tree or a Willow, they bend in the wind.
