When I first got this rose and it did this I thought....must be the fact that it has been raining so much that it just never opened - just got this creepy undead look.

Davis Graveyard Undead Rose |
Now, I am not complaining....that is pretty cool, but not really what I wanted.
I thought....it will be fine next year.
It was not, it did the same thing....has for about 4 years now.
So the Davis Graveyard has a
undead rose bush. How cool is that?!
To make up for it almost all the other roses in the garden are blooming.

Yes, the Frog Queen has a pink rose....I have several of them actually. I can handle pink in very small doses. And this particular rose is on of my favs. |
Now, every graveyard needs some undead roses! And I think these are so very lovely .... uhhmmm ... maybe I should say 'unlovely'. And the other roses are absolutely gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteBest of both worlds--lucky!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys!
ReplyDelete"unlovely" - that is brilliant!
Cheers!
Ooh...the undead most certainly adds a sinister touch to the garden! I really love the purple striped one. Don't know if I've ever seen one that color before!
ReplyDeleteYou could cut the undead roses, dry them out and use a bouquet of them on one or more of your graves this Halloween! :o)
wow--these are all beautiful--and I like the "undead" one most of all. truly unique!
ReplyDeletewow! What a unusual rose, I found the link to this blog about planting a garden for Halloween. I am moving into a new home and love the idea of a halloween garden.Any ideas on what to plant or inspiration is great..;)
ReplyDeleteOh I agree! The Undead Roses are the best! What kind are they?
ReplyDeleteFantastic pictures of both. I really like the undead roses.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone. Do not remember the name of that rose, I need to dig back through my journal and find it. I am sure it is not supposed to do that - I just got lucky :D
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Roses are naturally sinister flowers, in spite or because of their beauty. Those are particularly sinister.
